Artist's Statement

A concise statement of my passion for art is admittedly a mere synopsis of something much larger and less distinct. It is a personal quest, an unstable law of reaction, the way in which I translate the world around me. I grew up in a part of Canada where the landscape provides a natural motif for artistic creation. A simple beauty that sets my heart beating quicker: stirring a profound desire to hold onto it a little longer, to paint. The pleasure of creation is Interpretation. It's all for fun. It is passion.
